Are you Mobile?

Yes, We are currently only a mobile detailer.

We service the following areas near you : Hickory, Statesville, Mooresville, Cornelius, Huntersville, Denver, Lake Norman, Lake Norman of Catawba, Lincolnton, Bethlehem, and Granite Falls.

What I need to provide?

All the customer has to provide is water, the vehicle and a key. All of us at MadlLad Detailing like to be eco friendly when possible, but hauling water is not eco friendly. We try not to haul water on a regular basis. If you do not have water please contact us.

What is your hours of operations?

Monday - Saturday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM**; Sundays: 1PM -5PM**

Are you by appointment only?

In most cases, yes. We occasionally offer same-day service based on your location and the services you need, but 98% of the time, we operate by appointment only.

What if there is bad or ugly weather?

Mobile detailing can be completed in most weather conditions. However, for optimal results, extreme weather may necessitate rescheduling. If your service is a garage service or you have a car port/cover we will preform the detailing service except when there is lightning.

Ceramic Coating FAQs

Who is a Ceramic Coating for?

Ceramic Coatings are for anyone that is looking for long term protect for their paint from dirt, grime, and UV rays, or oxidation. If you are looking for less easier maintenance than the ceramic coating is also for you. Lastly, the ceramic coating will enhances the aesthetic beauty of a vehicle paintwork.

What are the differences between Ceramic Coatings?

After curing, some ceramic coatings can enhance the shine of your paint more than basic formulas, though most coatings generally offer a glossy, hydrophobic, and protective finish. Their longevity depends on the specific formula and the number of layers applied.

How do I maintain my Ceramic Coating to get the longest life out of it?

Is Ceramic Coating safe for my paint?

Yes, ceramic is safe to use on all surfaces.

How long does a ceramic coating service take?

Depending on the size of the vehicle, the condition, and the level of service it can take 6-24 hours.

Are ceramic coating a substitute for wax and other sealants?

Yes, Ceramic Coating is a better long term replacement for wax and sealants. You will never need wax or sealants for the life of the coating.

Will a ceramic coating protect against rock chips and scratches?

The Ceramic Coating will not protect against rock chips! The coating can protect from light swirls and very light scratches which can happen during proper washing and drying of a vehicle. The Coating will not stop your ex from scratching your vehicle with her keys!

Does Ceramic Coating prevent water spots?

Ceramic Coatings are hydrophobic so it will help with water beading off of your vehicle when moving and generally will dry quicker. Ceramic Coating will not prevent water spots, but will prevent the minerals from etching in to your paint and therefore will be easier to remove.

Can ceramic coating be removed or reversed?

Ceramic coatings are semi-permanent, but it can be removed if necessary. If needed Contact US.

Using automated car washes after the coating OK?

If the automated car wash uses those fast spinning brushes that beat your car like Mike Tyson in a boxing match, then you will likely damage your coating. There is no real long term protection that can stand up to these washes. If it is a touchless wash, Ceramic Coating can generally stand up to some washes, but the very strong chemicals used will wear down the coating faster than your standard pH-neutral soap.

Do new cars need decontamination and polishing?

Yes. All vehicles need the decontamination step to remove any imbedded contaminants. We recommend that all vehicles get a 1 step paint enhancement. These steps will ensure that the car not only looks the best when the coating is applied, but will also ensure that the coating adheres to the clear coat the best.

Can you apply a coating being mobile?

Yes, our vehicle is a shop on wheels. We have all the correct tools to get the job done correctly onsite. As long as the weather is favorable or the customer has a garage; we can do the service.

I just got a ceramic coating service done by MadLad Detailing. When can I wash my car?

Our coatings need to stay dry for the first hour after being coated. The first wash can happen after 7 days to allow for a full cure. You can wash your car by hand with a pH-neutral soap on the 8th day. If you have any questions please visit the Ceramic Coating Care Page.

Paint Correction FAQs

How will I know if I need a Correction or a polish?

It really depends on what you want out of your paint and how much paint you have to work with.
Please contact us to talk through options.

How long does this take?

It can take as little as 3-4 hours to 20 hours depending on the size of your vehicle or the correction needed.

How do you recommend I protect my vehicle after a polish or correction?

Ceramic Coating is a great long term protection after a polish and correction.

Will paint correction remove all marks?

Some scratches or imperfections may not be fully removed. This could be due to the depth of the scratch, the nature of the defect, or because it's unsafe to polish certain panels where the clear coat is too thin. We try our best to remove as much as possible and still be safe for your paint.

How often should I get paint correction?

If protected afterwards by a long term coating, you should not need a correction or polish for the life of the coating. If not protected by longer term coating, I would look at the paint every 2-3 years as long as it is still being protected regularly with waxes or sealants. You only have so much clear coat on your car so talk with your service provider if you have any questions before getting the service completed.

Can this be done as a mobile service?

Odor Removal

Can you guarantee the odor will be removed?

The outcome largely depends on the condition of the interior and the intensity of the smoke/odor. Our goal is always to remove as much odor as possible and ideally eliminate it completely. If we complete our full smoke/odor removal process and the odor returns within a few days or weeks, we’ll provide an additional ozone treatment at no extra charge.

Will I smell any chemicals once the service is complete?

No, you won’t! This is one of the reasons we require you to drop off the vehicle. To ensure you won’t notice any residual cleaning odors, we allow ample time for the car to air out. We speed up this process by placing multiple air movers throughout the interior.

Headlight Restoration

Can you any headlight be restored?

As with many things, once headlights reach a certain level of wear, there's a limit to how much we can restore them to like-new condition. While your headlights will look improved after our service, there may still be some permanent damage.

How do I keep my headlights looking good?

Protecting your car can be a bit tricky. Standard waxes and sealants only last so long; if your car is usually parked in the shade, they’ll last longer than if it’s parked outside in direct sunlight.
